We managed to get out of bed before noon! *shakes head in amazement* Actually, Liz and I headed out to the Con around 9am while Heather took Christina to get some purple hair dye. They said they were going to grab breakfast, dye Christina’s hair and meet up with us in an hour or so. Gah…I took SO many pictures. Some of the costumes were amazing.

It was fun to hang out with Liz. I don’t do it often enough. She totally cracks me up. The panda from Ranma ½ was walking around with a sign that said “Furi Hagu! (Free Hugs!)” and Liz spotted him through the window. So she ran up and plastered herself against the window in a hug pose. The panda, in return, plastered himself on his side of the window. CUTE! Then she glomped some neon green dog. I have no idea where he’s from.
Liz and I cruised around and took some more pictures. We walked through the area where vendors were selling all sorts of merchandise from cosplay to DVDs to figurines to masks and hats. We found the COOLEST mask kiosk. *drool* The feathers were fab!!
We also took a peek around the Artist’s Alley and then spent some time in the movie theatres. There were some really stupid animes but most of them were fun! I haven’t seen a lot so I let Liz pick which ones we should stay for. We decided to get Subway for lunch and ended up standing in line for close to an hour. Well, it might not have been that long but it sure felt that way. Then I saw this guy with the AWESOMEST hooves! He had made them himself!! SUPER COOL!!!
By this time, it was nearing 4pm. Heather and Christina were nowhere to be found although we had been calling them continuously to see if they were ever going to make it. At last, they arrived. Part of the delay had been the time-consuming process of dying Christina’s hair. But apparently the other reason for the delay was Christina hadn’t finished her costume so she had been hand sewing it in the hotel room. *faints* But they looked so cute!
I went back through the vendor area with them. Heather and I had fun trying on all sorts of hats but then I needed to go. Lesley and Tim had invited me to attend Matt’s graduation dinner at Tulio’s and Matt was picking me up at the hotel at 530pm. All the girls decided to head back to the hotel too so we walked back together.
Dinner was really good. Sweet potato gnocchi is super yum! It was nice to see Lesley and Tim again and David had come out too. After dinner, Matt and I headed out with David to a bar-ish place and hung out for a bit and then I headed back to the hotel. Liz and her friend wanted to go to a late night showing of Hellsing so I tagged along. By the time I got back to the room and uploaded my pictures, it was 3am! Ack, I need to go to bed so I can wake up early tomorrow!!
